Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q)'s two legislators Saturday submitted an adjournment motion in the provincial assembly of the Punjab against the purchase of laptops by the government of Punjab. Through the motion, submitted by Amir Sultan Cheema and Seemal Kamran of PML-Q, it has been alleged that commission of Rs 1.65 billion was taken in the purchase of laptops.
The movers questioned the purchase of laptops through Planning and Development Department Punjab instead of Higher Education Commission. Why laptops were not purchased from their manufactures, they questioned? It was contended that rules and regulations were ignored while striking the deal.
