Activists of Pakistan Peoples' Party-Sherpao (PPP-S) held a protest demonstration against the recent unprecedented hike in petroleum and CNG prices, lawlessness, corruption, and price hike. Led by PPP-S Provincial President, Sinkandar Khan Sherpao, the protesters were holding placards and banners inscribed slogans against the growing price hike, corruption, and lawlessness, demanding for immediate restoration of old prices of petroleum and CNG.
The infuriated protesters burnt tyres, and chanted anti-government slogans. Sikandar Sherpao while talking to reporters said that the government had totally failed to provide any sort of relief to poor masses during passage of four years. He said that inflation was touched double digit, saying that country is facing enormous financial crunch due to poor economy policies of the government.
He said that government is not taking serious steps to overcome with growing energy crisis, unemployment and terrorism in the country. "We will not remain silent more against the government anti-masses policies, he warned, added that they had launched protest drive, which would be expanded to other districts of the province.
