$10 million head money for Hafiz Saeed: Jamaat-i-Islami asks government to lodge protest with US

Ameer Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hassan has lashed out at government saying it must lodge a strong protest against the US for rewarding $10 million head money for Hafiz Saeed. He was talking to media along with Hafiz Saeed Ahmad here at Markaz Al-Qadsiya here on Saturday. Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad former federal information minister was also present on the occasion.
He said the US statement against Hafiz Saeed was given in India so the President Asif Zardari must have cancelled his visit to India. He said the government had failed to recognise the severity of the situation created by the US on Hafiz Saeed and the Nato supply.
He said the present government is responsible for the prevailing law and order and worsening economic situation in the country. However, he said the situation would not continue. The people must join hands with JI to get rid of the rulers and for establishing welfare state.
