Suicide attack on convoy: SSP Malir lodges FIR against former SHO, his brother

SSP Malir Rao Anwaar has named former SHO Sohrab Goth Azam Mehsud and his brother Sher Zaman Mehsud for their alleged involvement in a suicide attack on his convoy at Malir Halt the other day. According to Model Town police, a case was registered against the former SHO, his brother and unknown militants of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on the complaint of Rao Anwaar.
When contacted, SSP East Niaz Khoso confirmed the nomination of the former SHO Sohrab Goth in the case, saying that he was booked under section 120 for his alleged role in plotting the suicide attack. According to sources, the brother of former SHO Sohrab Goth had serious criminal record and he was also arrested from a private hospital in 2009 in an injured condition after a police encounter. They said the accused Azam, who is presently posted in interior Sindh, also served in Pirabad, Pak colony and Sohrab Goth police stations.
