The rupee extended decline against dollar on the currency market on Friday due rising demand for the greenback, dealers said. The rupee failed to resist further fall versus the dollar, losing 11 paisa for buying and selling at 90.55 and 90.57 in process of trading, they said.
The rupee, however, gained 40 paisa in relation to euro for buying and selling at Rs 118.60 and Rs 119.60. According to the Reuters, in the final Asian trade euro is poised to post its worst week in nearly four months, languishing a little above a three-week low against dollar as worries about rising Spanish debt yields show no signs of abating ahead of key US jobs data.
