Lean business was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Wednesday as most of the commodity items retained the overnight levels due to balanced demand and supply position, dealers said. On the cereals side, Moon Punjab fell sharply on steady arrivals, losing Rs 500 to Rs 7500-7750, Barley Sindh and Mardan followed same pattern, falling Rs 350 to Rs 3500 during the trading session, they said.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh, fine type gained Rs 100 to Rs 800 while the inferior quality held the last level at Rs 400, they said. Prices on the rice and grams sectors retained overnight levels, they said.
