The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) - the top anti-graft body - is unable to take any action against an influential incumbent federal cabinet minister and a federal secretary, it has been learnt. After Supreme Court's landmark judgement in Rental Power Plants (RPPs), the NAB has reportedly put the names of 19 bigwigs on ECL, who served the Ministries of Finance, Water and Power, Wapda, Pepco, PPIB and Nepra from 2006 and onward.
But the Bureau has missed out the name of incumbent Water and Power Minister Syed Naveed Qamar and Secretary Water and Power Imtiaz Kazi allegedly after considerable pressure from those at the helm of affairs.
