Malik reiterates foolproof security for foreign teams

"It's a good day for Pakistan sports and I hope in coming years more foreign teams in cricket, hockey and other sports will be visiting Pakistan without any security issue," he told the media at Hockey Club of Pakistan after shaking hands with players of China and Pakistan teams and officials.

President of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Qasim Zia and Secretary Asif Bajwa were also present on the occasion.

"We are grateful to brotherly country China for sending their hockey team to Pakistan to resume international sporting activities here," he commented.

He said the Government was very keen and making all out efforts to bring international sports back to Pakistan after 2008 attacks on Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore.

Rehman Malik said to promote and boost the hockey, he helped PHF in striking sponsorship with National Data Base Registration Authority (NADRA).

He recalled he has requested the organizers to holding sports in FATA and formations of more teams by the different institution.
