20 suspects held in Orangi Town operation

Following the armed clash at Orangi Town that claimed a life and injured other, the paramilitary Rangers have conducted search operations and detained some 20 suspects from the locality on Monday. According to police, two rival groups engaged in armed clash at Urdu Chowk, Orangi Town after the funeral prayers of deceased Salman Shah, who was targeted in the same area on March 31, leaving two persons namely Salman, 22, son of Saleem and Ilyas, 25, son of Fateh Abdul Qadir injured.
The victims were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) where Salman succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Later, heavy contingent of paramilitary Rangers rushed to the spot and started door-to-door search. According to sources, some 20 suspects were taken into custody and were shifted to unknown place for interrogation. They said the law enforcers had also recovered weapons from their possession.
