Cold, dry weather likely across country

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Punjab and federal capital while misty conditions are likely to arise in plain areas of the Punjab including Gunjranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Multan and Bahawalpur divisions.

According to the meteorological analysis, westerly wave is affecting northern parts of the country.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province during next 24 hours. Foggy/misty conditions are likely to arise in plain areas of the KPK; Peshawar, Charsada and Swabi from mid-night to morning.

In Sindh, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province during next 24 hours. However foggy/misty conditions are likely to arise in Sukkar division during from mid- night to morning.

Very cold and dry weather expected in most parts of Balochistan province during next 24 hours.

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, mostly cloudy weather is expected with chances of isolated light rain/light snowfall over hills in Kashmir during next 24 hours.

Lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Kalat -12C and today's minimum temperatures were Islamabad 3 C, Lahore 4 C, Quetta -10 C, Karachi 9 C, Peshawar 0 C, Muzaffarabad 4 C, Gilgit -2 C, Murree -2 C, Multan 6 C and Faisalabad 4C.
