Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif on Thursday held the federal government responsible for the power crisis in Punjab. Addressing a press conference, Nawaz said that people of Punjab were most affected by the power outages, which had forced them to lodge protests. The PML-N chief said that industries in Punjab were on the brink of disaster because of the power shortage.
Talking about the ongoing protests in Punjab, Nawaz said: "When people are facing loadshedding of up to 20 hours, this reaction is natural." He said that he supported the idea of a long march by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif. He also endorsed the idea of importing electricity from India. He said that the chief minister could raise voice against injustice of federation with his province.
