NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa launches inquiry against illegal housing society
An executive committee of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved initiating inquiry against the owner of Khan's Valley Housing Society for alleged involvement in the cheating of public at large. The approval has been given on the basis of public complaints for initiating inquiry against Zafar Iqbal, owner of Khan's Valley Housing Schemes for launching an illegal housing society in Nowshera near motorway.
Initial probe confirmed that the owner of the illegal housing society widely publicised the Khan's Valley housing scheme and distributed attractive brochures, but, physically no land is available. The owner cheated dozens of people by issuing provisional allotment orders to them on receipt of down payment/installments.
The owner of the illegal housing society has launched the scheme without getting No Objection Certificate from concerned authorities, which is required as per rules. Several affectees have lodged complaints with NAB, which had requested them to lodge their claims with proof at NAB KP Office PDA Complex Phase-V, Hayatabad Peshawar.
