Swiss franc holds uptrend

Published Updated

The Swiss franc tracked the euro lower against the dollar on Tuesday, though both remained on a two week uptrend against the greenback after US Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke pledged to continue an ultra-loose monetary policy. The franc fell 0.2 percent against the dollar compared to the New York close, trading at 0.9042 francs to the dollar by 0647 GMT.
The franc was steady against the euro at 1.2061 francs per euro. The franc has been trading close to 1.20 against the euro since the Swiss National Bank set a cap at that level in September.
