The Karachi Port handled 236,286 tonnes of cargo including 172,595 tonnes of import, 63,691 tonnes of export cargo and 4,815 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during the last 24 hours of business activities ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 172,595 tonnes comprised of 66,140 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 7,654 tonnes of b bulk cargo; 12,500 tonnes of coke; 938 tonnes of cows and 85,363 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 63,691 tonnes comprised of 49,335 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 142 tonnes of b bulk cargo; 2,086 tonnes of cement cargo; 4,862 tonnes of loose bulk cement; 1,504 tonnes of rice; 4,337 tonnes of talcum powder and 1,425 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
A total number of fifteen vessels namely APL Brisbane, APL Guangzhou, Kota Anggerik, Uzava, Lodestar Genesis, Samanta, Y M Taichung, OEL Trust, Isara Bhum, Oriental Kerria, Universal Antwarp, Tabernacle Prince, Sea Coral, Colchester Castle and Ocean Rover sailed out to the sea after loading/offloading loaded containerised cargo, oil tankers, general cargo, containerise cargo, oil tankers, rice cargo, cement cargo, general cargo and cows during the reported business period on Monday.
A total number of fifteen vessels namely Diana Island, Isara Bhum, Sea Carol, Ocean Drover, M T Lahore, Oriental Kerria, MSC Christiana, OEL Trust, Abtin 1, Hyundai Freedom, Lindavia, UASC Ajman, Abdulaziz Arab and Ocean Pegasus respectively are currently at the berths to load/offload coal cargo, containerised cargo general cargo, cows, oil tankers, vehicles cargo, containerise cargo, repair cargo and oil tankers respectively during the reported business hours at Karachi Port.
There are three vessels namely MSC Christiana Lindavia and Hyundai Freedom are expected to sail out to the sea after loading/offloading vehicle cargo and containerised cargo respectively on Monday. While there is another vessel namely Ocean Pegasus is currently on the port during the reported period. There is only one vessel namely Hanjin Monaco carrying containerised cargo is expected to arrive on Monday while there are three more vessels namely Daewoo Diamond, Cypress Galaxy and R Sea carrying Ethanol cargo and containerised cargo respectively during the business activity hours at the port on Tuesday.
There are only two cargo vessels namely C V Maersk Missouri and M T Stalt Zulli sailed out to the sea on Monday morning. A total number of three vessels namely C V Maersk Missouri, M V Unicorn Emerald and M T Stalt Zulli are currently occupying the berths to load/offload containerised cargo, wheat cargo, and chemical respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Monday.
A total number of three vessels namely C V Safmarine Ngami, C V UASC Ramadi and M T Karachi carrying cargo containers and furnace oil respectively are currently to line up at the outer anchorage on Wednesday during the Business activity hours. A total number of three vessels namely C V Safmarine, M T Karachi and M T Chemroad Nava carrying containerised cargo, furnace oil and chemicals respectively, are expected to take berths on Monday at the port. While there are two more vessels namely C V UASC Ramadi and C V Maersk Kalamata are expected to arrive at the port on Tuesday.
