Lahore lawyers boycott courts

The legal fraternity observed boycott of courts on Monday on the call of Supreme Court Bar Association and Punjab Bar Council (PBC) against murder of former president Malir Bar Association. The lawyers remained away from the courts proceedings. Only few bar members appeared before the court in urgent matters.
Malir Bar's former president, Salahuddin Haider, and his son were killed in an ambush in Ghazi Town area of Malir on March 24. All bar representatives condemned the killing and demanded for early arrest of killers. Acting president, SCBA, Imrana Parween Baloch LHCBA Shahra Sarwar, secretary Sardar Akbar Ali Dogar, VP Hafizur Rehman Chaudhry and secretary finance Rafila Anjum Minhas in a joint statement condemned the incident.
