A large number of rickshaw drivers and activists of Muttahida Shehri Mahaaz (MSM) continued their protest on third consecutive day at Chowk Ghanta Ghar against traffic challans and fines charged by traffic wardens in the city. They staged a protest demonstration to press the Punjab government to withdraw the increase otherwise they would commit suicide along with their children because they could not let their children starve.
Speaking on this occasion, Tariq Naem Ullah and Abbas Umar Daraz said that the Chief Minister Punjab claimed to be Khadim-e-Aala but he did not pay any heed to the issue. "A poor rickshaw driver hardly earns Rs 250 in a day while he is being asked to pay fine of Rs 1000. Who will take notice of the issue?" they asked.
