BoR, education, health, other departments: PAC to begin review of audit reports from March 27

The meeting of provincial Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has been called to review the draft audit paras of Board of Revenue (BoR), Irrigation, Health, Police (Home) and Education and Literacy departments from March 27 to 31, 2012. It is to be mentioned here that earlier the committee twice cancelled the meeting called for reviewing the audit paras of the above mentioned departments.
According to the schedule, the PAC would review the deferred draft audit paras of financial year of 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2007-08 of Board of Revenue (BoR), Irrigation, Health, Home and Education and Literacy departments from March 27 to 31, 2012. Official sources said on the directives of Chairman PAC, Jam Tamachi Unarr, Secretary PAC Hadi Bux Burirro had issued letters to all administrative heads of the five departments. The PAC would review the draft paras of financial year of 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2007-08 of BoR on March 27, and Home department on March 28, 2012.
The committee would review the draft paras of Education on March 29, Health on March 30, and Irrigation department on March 31. The Principal Accounting Officers have been asked to hold the Departmental Accounts Committee's meetings well before the meetings of PAC, the sources added.
All the departmental heads have been asked that 40 copies of the working papers duly reconciled with the Accountant General (AG) Sindh and concerned audit departments, as the case may be, should be submitted to PAC secretariat at least seven working days before the date of the meetings.
It is further directed that along with hard copy of working papers, soft copy may also be sent to the secretariat as the same are required for the PAC MIS system in due time and ensure that the page numbering and legible and annexure to be attached, said the letter issued to concerned secretaries of the departments.
