Two killed over petty issues

At least two persons including a female were killed in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Thursday. According to police, a 22-year-old woman namely Shabita, daughter of Muhammad Rafique, was stabbed to death by her father. They said the victim, who got married over a year ago and recently divorced, lost her life when she was assaulted by her father with a pickax after hot debate.
The police said the accused person, who was psycho-patient, was arrested outside his house and added that both victim and her father used to quarrel over domestic issue but now the same has claimed her life. A case was registered against him and more investigation was underway.
Similarly, a son namely Muhammad Nawaz has killed his father Dilnawaz, 55 years, son of Behram Tanoli, over petty issue in the limits of Chakiwara police station. The police said the victim received fatal bullet wounds when he scolded his son over addiction.
They said the accused person, who escaped after committing the crime, opened indiscriminate gunshots when his father scolded him over the said bad habit. Moreover, the victim received three bullets and succumbed to his injures on spot, they said adding the victim hailed from Haripur Hazara and a father of four. The case was registered against Nawaz on the complaint of his mother and the police initiated probe to nab the absconded person.
