The Ministry of Interior on Wednesday announced general public holiday throughout the country on March 23 (Friday) on the auspicious occasion of Pakistan Day. According to a notification issued here, it was announced that the day will start with a 31-gun salute in the Federal Capital and 21-gun salute at all the provincial capitals.
Ceremonies will be held to hoist Pakistan flag on principal public and private buildings throughout the country and all Pakistan missions abroad. Thanks giving prayers will be held at all places of worships in the country. Rallies of girls guides, boys scouts and students will be held and exhibition of relevant documentary films will be arranged for school children and the public at large in all cinema houses.
