Special Investigation Unit (SIU) on Wednesday claimed to have apprehended five extortionists in separate raids from different parts of the metropolis. The alleged extortionists have been identified as Sufiyan, Yasin, Arsalan Lodhi, Asad Ali and Younus.
According to SIU officials, the raids on a tipoff were conducted at different parts of city including Surjani, Preedy and Garden and added that the accused persons were involved in various cases of demanding and collecting extortion from the business community and street crimes. Four TT pistols were also recovered from their possessions.
