US corn futures fell nearly 3 percent on Tuesday while soyabeans and wheat also slid as funds liquidated long positions amid bearish chart signals and favourable US crop weather. Both corn and soyabeans were on track to post their biggest daily declines since January.
By 1 pm CDT (1800 GMT) on the CBOT, May soyabeans were down 21 cents at $13.45-1/2 per bushel. May corn was down 17-1/2 cents at $6.46 a bushel and May wheat was down 9 cents at $6.43-1/4.
