S H Hashmi was the father of Advertising and Managing Director at Orient Advertising, whose contributions to the field of advertising are acknowledged by everyone.
Hashmi introduced new techniques in advertising and took this field to new heights in Pakistan. Under his supervision the little seed of Orient Advertising bloomed into a fully grown tree and now following in his footsteps, under the supervision of his son Syed Mahmood Hashmi, this organisation is achieving new heights of success every passing day.
The late S H Hashmi set the advertising in Pakistan on modern lines while keeping in line the social norms of Pakistan. He always preached about discipline and he himself followed on the same teachings his whole life. Under his able supervision many legendary advertisements were created and simplified communication was delivered to audience through advertisements therefore he lit the torch of honouring capable and qualified people in the field of education with awards and scholarships. Orient Advertising CEO Syed Mahmood Hashmi is carrying this torch after his father with the same determination.
Recently Hashmi Media Institute came into being where people in the field of advertising are given knowledge and education. S H Hashmi passed away on March 20, 2006 but his thought and ideas are still alive and would prove to be a torch in the field of advertising.-PR
