Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) will hold its 49th Annual Medical Symposium from April 01 to 05, said Professor Jamal Ara, Chairperson, Academic Council and symposium organising committee of JPMC. The symposium with the theme "Every Life Counts," which implies that no person can ever experience all that life has to offer.
Further elaborating the choice for the theme, Dr Jamal Ara said it is only through sharing experiences, feelings, insights that we can hope to grow beyond our finite lifetime. Idea is to invigorate all stakeholders and make them think if they were ready to grow today, she said. She mentioned that JPMC was the pioneer medical institute of the country that has been organizing its annual medical symposium since 1963.
"It is our endeavour to continue the academic and research activity and keep the torch alight and kick off the forthcoming moot by holding a plenary session after the inauguration," said Professor Jamal Ara. The symposia are going to be addressed by accomplished teachers of the country. The pre-symposium workshops on various subjects are going to be followed by specialty symposia. The sessions would also include invited talks by eminent professionals in their field from the whole country.
