IN SHORT: Brazil cocoa arrivals slip

Published Updated

Cocoa deliveries to warehouses in Brazil eased in the last week, data from the Bahia Commercial Association showed, but output from top cocoa-growing state Bahia was still well above the usual for the time of year. Separately, Brazil's exports of cocoa products fell in February from the same month a year earlier.
In bean equivalent, exports totalled 4,387 tonnes, down from 6,084 tonnes a year earlier. Brazil exports mostly products and few cocoa beans. Farm gate prices were in the range of 71 to 73 reais ($39.13 to $40.23) by Tuesday, up from 67 to 69.5 in the last week and helped by the stronger dollar.
