A large number of pharmacists and drug inspectors staged demonstration outside Balochistan Assembly here on Saturday to press their demands. The protesters led by President of Pharmacists' Association Balochistan Syed Sultan Muhammad and other leaders gathered outside the provincial assembly premises and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
Two provincial ministers Tahir Mehmood and Basant Lal Gulshan visited them and held negotiations with the protesters. The pharmacists demanded issuance of health professional allowance, time scale, allocation of 100 seats for pharmacists in different government departments annually. They also demanded of recovery of abducted pharmacist Rajesh Kumar. The ministers assured them that their demands would be conveyed to the relevant authorities.
