Speakers at a seminar have underlined that women role is vital for establishment of peace, saying that the entire region was in grip of terrorism in general and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular. They stressed that it was duty of every member of the society to join hands for restoration of peace and eradication of the menace of terrorism.
The seminar titled "Role of women in peace building" held under auspices of Pakistan Council of World Religions in collaboration with Pakistan Girls Guides Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday. Notable speakers were included Professor Hassan Kararvi, Professor Dr Qibla Ayaz, Idress Kamal, Haroon Sarb Diyal, Fitrat Ilyas Bilour, Rohi Zahid, Rabia Ali, Fatima Noor, Sharda Haroon, Her Chender Singh, Akhtar Munawar Aisha, Charan Jeet Singh, Ms Bilqis, Ms Farzana, Ms Bukhari.
The speakers urged women to play their role in restoration of peace by focusing on the education of new generation, keep them away from the bad society and keep watch on routine of their children to save them from falling prey to the menace of terrorism. Hassan Kararvi while addressing on the occasion has stressed that need for nurturing interfaith and sectarian harmony, which was essential for restoration of peace and stability.
