NH&MP recovers four stolen cars

National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) recovered four stolen cars and also arrested the car thieves during the last week. Giving details, a spokesperson of the NH&MP said on Wednesday that in the first incident, the Motorway Police responded to an information and intercepted a Corolla car, which was said to be stolen from Rawalpindi.
But the alleged car thieves opened fire on the patrolling team. After exchange of firing, the police arrested one Ghafran but his accomplice managed to escape from the scene. In another incident, on an information about a stolen car from Lahore, SPO Zarar Khan spotted the vehicle and signalled it to stop, but the driver sped away after hitting the SPO. Meanwhile, an emergency squad of the Motorway Police chased the vehicle and arrested one Muhammad Shafiq. In the third incident, after receiving information from a tracker company, the police recovered the stolen car and also arrested two alleged car thieves.
