A meeting of the Board of Directors of Gorakh Hills Development Authority (GHDA) will be held on Wednesday (today) with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah in the chair. According to sources in the tourism department, the meeting would discuss many issues including allotment of land to GHDA, release of the funds promised by federal government, deployment of police etc.
The meeting, which has been called after a long time, would be attended by Minister for Tourism Mohammad Ali Malkani, Senior Minister for Education and Literacy Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq, Minister for Law and Prison Ayaz Soomro, Minister for Finance Syed Murad Ali Shah, Secretaries, Director General GHDA Engineer Nazeer Hussein Chakrani, Deputy Commissioner and SSP Dadu.
The GHDA Director General would brief the meeting about development work at Gorakh Hills and some other important issues. Sources said that work on the Gorakh Hills site was in progress without ownership rights to the tourism department. Sindh Chief Secretary Raja Mohammad Abbas had in a meting a few weeks back asked the concerned authorities to allot the required land to GHDA but the land was yet to be allotted.
