The Lahore High Court has called for report from the Punjab government by May 02, in a petition challenging, the appointment of advisors to Chief Minister Punjab. The petitioner, Aqeel Ahmed, contended that Chief Minister Punjab has appointed a number of his party workers, as advisors illegally. He said that the advisors are enjoying a number of facilities and causing huge financial burden on the national exchequers.
He also contended that under the constitution Chief Minister could not appoint advisors. He, therefore, prayed to the court to declare the advisors as illegal and without lawful authority.
