Former Indian wicket-keeper/batsman Syed Mujtaba Hussain Kirmani has supported the return of international cricket to Pakistan. "Pakistan public is keen to watch international action here," he told reporters during his visit to Karachi Press Club here on Friday.
He said resumption of Indo-Pak cricket ties between two neighbouring team will help in bringing the peoples of the two countries closer and reducing the tension. He however he said using the word of scare for Indian team was not appropriate. He was referring to the statement of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Zaka Ashraf after Pakistan whitewashed England 3-0 in Test series. He praised the extra-ordinary contribution of former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan.
"He (Imran) is cricket super star and I learnt a great deal while playing against Pakistan team," he recalled. Syed Kirmani who had represented India in 88 Test and 49 One-day Internationals, said Pakistan can never get a captain like Imran Khan again.
