Proposed Women University: chief minister takes note of delay in documentation
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has taken notice of the unnecessary delay by the Education and Literacy department in documentation of the project for establishment of Women University at Sukkur, it is learnt on Thursday. Reliable sources told this scribe that the Chief Minister taking serious notice of the issue had asked the concerned department to accelerate work on the project and submit a report in this regard.
It may be noted here that the provincial education and literacy department has not even completed the basic documentation of the proposed Women University despite the passage of about three years. Sources further said that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had announced the establishment of a Women University at Sukkur during his visit to the district on January 11, 2009.
