Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has nominated Senator Ishaq Dar as party's parliamentary leader in Upper House of the Parliament. According to a press release issued here on Wednesday by the party's central secretariat, Dar has once again been nominated as party's parliamentary leader in Senate from March 12, 2012.
He has been the parliamentary leader of PML-N in the Senate from 2003 to 2012. It further said that a formal letter in this regard has also been sent to Secretary Senate. Dar after retiring this month from the Upper House, made another entry in the recent Senate polls by electing unopposed from Punjab on the seats reserved for technocrats. According to PML-N sources, Dar is also party's strong candidate for the slot of leader of the opposition in Senate after the party became the second largest party in the House as a result of recent elections.
