Taiwan stocks slip

Taiwan stocks shed 0.83 percent on Tuesday, joining a regional decline, with tourism issues being the biggest drags on the main share index. Restaurant chain store operator Wang Group closed at T$492, up 49.59 percent from its IPO price of T$340. The main TAIEX index fell 66.77 points to 7,937.97, after opening flat. The index has fallen as much as 1.8 percent during the session.
Tech and banking, the two most heavily-weighted sectors, were down 0.84 percent and 0.89 percent, respectively. The Taiwan dollar was little changed at T$29.520. Foreign investors were net sellers on Monday, bringing their total selling to T$374 million this month.
