The total open interest position at the futures counter increased by Rs 385 million, up 20.6 percent on week-on-week basis to Rs 2.26 billion. The futures spreads, on the other hand, declined by 166bps on week-on-week basis to 10.9 percent owing to rise in regular market. Trading activities at the futures counter reduced as the average daily volumes declined by 15.75 percent to 12.7 million shares.
The top-five scrips at the futures counter holding 67 percent of the total open interest were ENGRO, NBP, FFC, PSO and POL.
