It is submitted that on 10-11-2010 through a notification issued by the Chief Minister Punjab all those employees on contract basis, except for prosecutors, were made permanent. The affected prosecutors filed a writ petition in the Lahore High Court which was allowed on 5-8-2011 and the application for stay order filed by the department was dismissed and an order was issued to mark the prosecutors permanent.
But the Department of Prosecution, Punjab, is not implementing the court orders and continuously committing contempt of the court. It is submitted that all the prosecutors have been rendered jobless for more than six months; they have been stopped from working and their salaries have been discontinued. All the concerned are requested to sympathetically consider the plight of prosecutors.
