A wake-up call!

Published Updated

"Wakeup, this is Senate-election-day," PPP MPA Imran Zafar Leghari was heard making calls to other MPAs for coming to Sindh Assembly to use their right of franchise. This scribe observed that PPP's MPA Imran Zafar Leghari was giving rings to fellow lawmakers who were sleeping at their homes during the morning time (poling time of Senate election).
Talking to an MPA on phone, Leghari said: "wakeup friend, it's not a day in routine.... it's Senate election day. The polling has begun at 9am... so get up and cast your vote." When this scribe asked Leghari to elaborate his 'working', he declined to comment, saying it's normal.... and not a news. People use to wake up after 9am or 10am in Karachi. A large number of lawmakers came to cast their votes after 11am and the polling continued till 4pm.
