Freddie Mac sells $2.5 billion bills at higher rates

Freddie Mac, the No 2 US home funding company said on Monday it sold $2.5 billion of reference bills at higher rates and mixed demand compared with the most recent sales of similar maturities. Freddie Mac said it sold $500 million of one-month bills due March 25, 2012, at a 0.067 percent stop-out rate versus up from a 0.019 percent rate for its $500 million of bills sold on January 23.
The agency also sold $1.0 billion of three-month bills due May 29, 2012 at a 0.112 percent rate also up from a 0.089 percent rate for its three-month bills sold on February 21. It also sold $1.0 billion of six-month bills due August 27, 2012 at a 0.152 percent rate up from a 0.125 percent rate for its $500 million sale week ago.
