Ali Musa Gilani, son of Prime Minster Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, on Saturday returned victorious in a by-election held in NA-148, Multan, Aaj News reported. According to the channel, by-elections on six national assembly seats and four provincial assembly seats conducted on Saturday. Ali Musa Gilani bagged defeated his competitor Liaquat Dogar of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) with a big margin.
Hasnain Mirza, son of former Home Minister Sindh, Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, secured 40522 votes in the Badin by-election where defeated his opponent Syed Ali of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) who had secured 7548 votes. Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) also retained its seat in NA-195 where its candidate Makhdoom Mustaf Mehmood declared victorious with 81,745 votes while his closest opponent Tariq Chohan (Independent) received 17,940 votes.
PPP's Natasha Doultana was also declared victorious, according to unofficial results of NA-168 Vehari. She secured 70,551 votes while her opponent Bilal Akbar Bhatti of Pakistan Muslim League (N) stood second with 46,391 votes.
Awami National Party (ANP) candidate Himayatullah secured 30,266 votes and he was declared victorious, according to unofficial results, while JUI (F) candidate Shujaul Mulk emerged second with 24,816 votes. Pakistan Muslim League (N) secured two provincial assembly seats Attock and Mianwali by-elections. Waheeda Shah of PPP was declared victorious from PS-53. She secured 28,821 votes while her closest rival Mushtaq Talpar bagged 13,300 votes.
