Message from The Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Karachi
On the occasion of 51st National Day and 21st Liberation Anniversary of the State of Kuwait I felicitate His Highness the AMIR of The State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the Government and the people of Kuwait on this glorious occasion.
State of Kuwait and Islamic Republic of Pakistan linked together by common Islamic heritage and share views on many regional and international issues and have always enjoyed cordial cultural and business relations besides of course the commonality of religious faith between the two brotherly Muslim states. This is to be mentioned here that Kuwait is Pakistan's third largest economic partner in the Gulf Co-operation Council.
Kuwait attaches high value to its brotherly relations with Islamic Pakistan as both the countries share common faith and values and enjoy unanimity of views on all important global and regional issues. The ties are based on common cultural and religious ties. Trade between Pakistan and Kuwait dates back to pre-independence era.
The presence of 125,000 Pakistani nationals in Kuwait is a testimony to close and mutually collaborative relations between two countries and appreciated the patronage of the Kuwaiti government to the Pakistani expatriate community whom plying key role in construction and development of the country, and constituting significant source of foreign exchange earnings for their country.
Kuwaiti leadership is looking forward to extend closer co-operation with Pakistan in regional and international organisations to achieve the objectives of stability and security and sustainable development. His Highness Amir Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah assured during his visit to Pakistan in June 2006 that Kuwait's commitment to fostering stronger bilateral ties in economic, trade and investment sectors, he stated clearly that Kuwait would like to benefit from the skills and expertise of Pakistani manpower in order to promote growth and development in the two countries.
