Affectees of residential sectors: CDA to devise strategy to solve problems

Following the direction of the government, Capital Development Authority (CDA) will devise a comprehensive strategy to resolve problems of the affectees of different residential sectors as well as make efforts to ensure speedy development of residential sectors.
This was decided in a meeting between the affectees and the Chairman Prime Minister's Task Force on Islamabad, Faisal Sakhi Butt. Chairman CDA, Engineer Farkhand Iqbal, Member Estate, CDA, Khalid Mahmud Mirza, Director General Planning, Ghulam Sarwar Sandhu, Director Land, Captain (Retd.) Fareed-ud-Din also attended the meeting, an official said.
Faisal said that the development of the stalled sectors is a chronic issue which has multi-dimensional implications on future development of the city. The rehabilitation of the affectees is the responsibility of the government so they can join hands with CDA to reinforce the efforts of development of Islamabad in an effective and efficient manner, he said.
He also directed CDA to listen to individual complaints of the affectees in addition to the collective issues of the area. He called upon the affectees of the stalled sectors to constitute their representative committees of their respective areas to negotiate their problems with CDA. Chairman CDA, Engineer Farkhand Iqbal said that CDA would resolve all the issues with the affectees amicably and is committed to the progress of the city and expediting development activities in the city.
