The Interior Ministry has set up a special committee to formulate recommendations in two weeks for regularisation of services of National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) workers. A Nadra spokesman said, here on Thursday that Nadra chairman gave a briefing to the Interior Ministry for solving genuine problems of Nadra employees. He called upon the striking employees to immediately resume their duties otherwise disciplinary action would be taken against them.
He said in view of the difficulties being faced by the public due to partial strike of its employees, Nadra has started recruiting new workers to run its centres in different cities. Thirty new employees resumed their duties on Thursday in Lahore. he said. The spokesman said that Nadra centres at Township PECO road, DHA, Shami road, have been opened and registration operations resumed.
