Message from General Secretary, Consumers Association of Pakistan

Consumers Association of Pakistan already enjoys a special bond twith Pakistani consumers who share their view pertaining to quality of products/services. Without their support and interest Consumers Choice Award could not be celebrated.
Day by day more consumers come to know about consumer's representative body Cap as a platform where their grievances are being heard and redressed. uses its own resources to resolve issues because there is no consumers' court except in Punjab province. Other then Sindh, Consumer Protection Act has been promulgated in all three provinces. In the absence of the said act consumers' courts cannot be established. CAP keep demanding for the act to be enforced by approving ordinance in Sindh Assembly but sorry to say that our parliamentarians have no time for this most important issue and was lapsed thrice. At this auspicious occasion I must like to draw the attention of our elected members to take out a few minutes for the much needed act, which will become an effective tool for consumer protection. Although this is the duty of our assembly, CAP feel sorry for their negligence and repelling rights of consumers for the reason better known to them.
Consumers Choice Award has made its history for seven consecutive years because it is largely appreciated by not only manufacturers and service providers but also Pakistani consumers. Finally I must congratulate the award winners and pray for continuing history.
