District Co-ordination Officer Lahore, Ahad Cheema has stressed regulating poultry business in the provincial capital in order to provide clean chicken meat to the citizens. He was talking to a five-member delegation of Pakistan Poultry Association here on Monday, disclosed an official.
The delegation headed by Raza Mehmood Khurshid, and discussed various proposals with the DCO to resolve the problems being faced by poultry businessmen. Cheema stressed the need to prepare a comprehensive parameter for profit, weight and measures, so that the business of poultry could be standardised.
"The association should give final touch to its recommendation after meeting district officers of the industries, labour and livestock sectors," he said. Meanwhile, the DCO took notice of illegal construction in Data Ganj Bakhsh Town and said that such act will not be tolerated. He directed TMO of the town to probe the matter and submit a report to him in this regard.
