On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, specialist doctors of dengue virus have provided training to the doctors belonging to six districts at Lahore General Hospital. The doctors were trained about treatment of dengue patients and precautionary measures against the menace.
The trainee doctors belonged to districts of Attock, Bahawalnagar, D G Khan, Bahawalpur, Chakwal and Bhakkar.
Professor Dr Shoaib Randhawa, Assistant Professor Imran Hassan Khan and Dr Sheraz Anjam were among the trainers.
Principal of PGMI and LGH Professor Dr Tariq Salah-ud-Din in this regard said and solid steps had been taken against the dengue so that such situation could not emerge again.
He said that Pakistani experts had observed Thailand model to curb dengue and create high level awareness about this fatal disease among general public.
He said that it was high time to get fully prepared against dengue especially a vigorous awareness campaign must be launched.
