The Lahore High Court (LHC) Administration Committee has dismissed civil judge Muhammad Riaz Khurram from service and reinstated civil judge Saira Naureen. The committee headed by Chief Justice LHC withheld the promotion of civil judge Muhammad Mazhar Mahar for one year and also imposed minor penalty of censure upon a senior civil judge Rana Muhammad Khan.
The committee has also decided to initiate de novo proceedings against civil judge Mujahid Abbas and disciplinary proceedings against Additional District and Sessions Judge (AD&SJ) Zubair Shahzad Kiani. The committee also issued notice to civil judge Muhammad Inyat Gondal for changing minor penalty into a major penalty.
The committee also decided to issue show cause notices to impose major penalty on AD&SJs Ali Raza Awan and Sadaqat Ullah Khan and a civil judge Muhammad Dawood Sahi. The committee also decided to drop the disciplinary proceedings against AD&SJs Muhammad Shfiq Chaudhry and Mehboob Ahmad Khan and civil judges Muhammad Saleem Sheikh and Hassan Abbas.
