Three dacoits looted 150 tolas gold ornaments, cash Rs 500,000 and a rado wrist watch from a jewellery shop, Alaqa Nawab Sahib, Chung area here on Saturday. Police said that the bandits sneaked into a jewellery shop, of one Abid Chohan, broke the glasses of showcases by fire and looted cash, gold ornaments and a precious wrist watch. After an aerial firing, the criminal fled away with the booty. People were scared after the incident.
Police reached the spot and further investigation is underway.
