Munir wins Bank Al Habib's golf tournament

The third and final round of Bank Al Habib's Rashid D. Habib Golf Tournament was played here on Thursday at Karachi Golf Club Karsaz. Muhammad Munir of Islamabad ranked top position of the tournament with a gross of 204, followed by Shabbir Iqbal of Pakistan Navy who scored 205. The third position went to Nadeem Inayat of KGC Gross 210.
Lieutenant Commander Irfan Rasheed and Honoray Secretary Karachi Golf Club Karsaz said, "I would like to appreciate the co-operation of Bank Al Habib in promotion of golf in Pakistan. Golf is an expensive game and accessible to limited segments in our country. I am also thankful to Sindh Golf Association and Pakistan Golf Federation for introducing programmes for encouraging new talent.
Aslam Raza Khan, President Sindh Golf Association, Munsif Raza, Vice President Karachi Golf Club and Abbas D. Habib, CEO and Managing Director of Bank Al Habib distributed trophies and cash prizes amongst the winners. The winner Muhammad Munir was awarded cash prize of Rs 146,300, whereas 2nd position holder Shabbir Iqbal got Rs 98,420. Nadeem Inayat scored 3rd position and was awarded Rs 56,002.
To encourage their participation Bank Al Habib has also paid the top 5 rated professionals in the country with Rs 50,000 each; Shabbir Iqbal, Matloob Ahmad, Muhammad Munir, Shahid Javed Khan and Muhammad Tariq. Abbas D. Habib, CEO and Managing Director of Bank Al Habib in his very brief speech appreciated the role of Karachi Golf Club and Sindh Golf Association in promoting golf in Pakistan. He also congratulated the winners and encouraged them.
