Former Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that the national reconciliation through dialogue was need of the hour as Baloch people cannot be oppressed by use of force. He said that Pakistan needs honest, sincere and patriotic leadership who could solve the political, economic and social problems confronting the nation.
Qazi was addressing a seminar on the topic of 'Wave of change in the Arab countries' organised by Centre for Discussions and Solution (CDS) here on Wednesday which was also addressed by the Tunisian leader Sheikh Rashid al Ghunnushi on video conference.
He said the recent changes in the Arab countries have brought message of peace and prosperity for the humanity. Muslims are making a new history by their struggle and sacrifices for the promotion of peace. He said that people have expressed confidence in the leadership of the Islamic movements through free and fair elections in these countries.
Qazi said democratic forces have succeeded in some Arab countries like Tunis, Egypt, Libya and Yemen after a long drawn and bloody struggle. They have expressed their confidence in the Islamic movements which played pivotal role in the formation of Islamic and democratic governments, he added. While addressing a video conference, Sheikh Rashid al Ghunnushi, popular Islamic movement leader of Tunisia said that imperialistic and tyrant forces had come to power in some Arab countries but with the support of revolutionary youth tyrant rulers had been ousted.
