FATA development funds: students urge government to take notice of corruption

Students from different tribal areas have demanded of the government to take notice of massive corruption in FATA development funds and take stern action against the involved officials. Addressing a news conference, FATA Students Federation, Central President, Haroon Lucman Afridi said that the development funds allocated for tribal areas had embezzled by officials of Directorate of FATA and political agents.
Flanked by Central Vice president, Shafiq Ahmad Saif and other tribal students, he said that political agents and FATA secretariat officials had made massive corruption in development funds.
Afridi further said that the elected representative of FATA had also failed to address the problems of their respective agencies, demanding to resign after the deteriorating law and order situation in tribal areas. He said that every FATA MNA had received millions of rupees for contesting upcoming Senate elections. How could corrupt rulers deliver and heel the miseries of tribal people, he asked. He urged the tribal people to reject the corrupt rulers by power of vote in next general elections.
