Man claims he was stuffed in gunny bag

A 30-year-old man was recovered alive from a gunny bag in the jurisdiction of Chakiwara police station on Monday. According to police, the victim namely Amjad Baloch, son of Nabi Buksh, who was the resident of Phool Patti area, Baghdadi, in his statement alleged the members of Katchi Rabita Council (KRC) for his kidnap.
They said the victim revealed that some 10 to 12 KRC members kidnapped him when he went to KRC stronghold area to buy foodstuff. Later, after applying severe torture on him, the culprits without realizing that he was alive stuffed him in a gunny bag and threw the same near Lyari River at Bihar Colony.
However, the police officials dispelled the impression that the victim was found in a gunny bag, saying that there is no evidence, which proved that the victim was stuffed in a gunny bag.
They said the inconstant statements of the victim had made the case suspicious hence the police are looking the case from ever angle. No case was registered till filing of this report.
